“More and more people throughout America want to live full lives in their “own” communities and not shuttle from one place to another for work, relaxation or family activities. In Aliso Viejo, we offer essential elements to ensure our community lives up to this concept:
Live, Learn, Work, Shop and Play!”

Aliso Viejo is a lively community with award-winning schools, a convenient location, great shopping, dining and entertainment, employment centers, beautiful parks and an extensive recreational program offered by the Aliso Viejo Community Association (AVCA). Aliso Viejo became Orange County's 34th city after an incorporation vote was overwhelmingly passed by 93%. The new City of Aliso Viejo assumed its duties on July 1, 2001.
