Your computer will not boot, there are error messages (blue screens) or it
will only boot in 'Safe Mode'. These are common problems and our engineers

Aliso Viejo is a

Aliso Viejo became Orange County's
34th city after an incorporation vote was overwhelmingly passed by 93%. The
new City of Aliso Viejo assumed its duties on July 1, 2001. As a
general law city, the City of Aliso Viejo develops policies and
procedures in accordance with California State law. Aliso Viejo
contracts for many of its services including police, fire, legal, public
works, engineering, code enforcement, building & safety, street maintenance,
and street sweeping. Additional city-contracted services include animal
care, and trash pick up. Library services are provided by the Orange County
Library System. Landscape maintenance of most slopes, medians, and parks are
administered by AVCA, with the exception of Iglesia Park, which is
City-owned. Both AVCA and the City share in the responsibility of providing
recreational programs, special events and activities to the community.
Location and Government. The City of
Aliso Viejo (“Aliso Viejo”) encompasses 7 square miles and is
located at the southern end of the County. It is approximately 50 miles
southeast of downtown Los Angeles, 19.4 miles south of Santa Ana, the County
Seat, and 2.7 miles inland of the Pacific Ocean. Neighboring communities
include the Cities of Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Hills and Laguna
Woods.
Aliso Viejo is a general law city and was incorporated on July 1,
2001. Aliso Viejo has a Council-Manager form of municipal government.
The City Council appoints the City Manager who is responsible for the
day-to-day administration of city business and the coordination of all city
departments. The City Council is composed of five members elected
bi-annually at large to four-year alternating terms. The Mayor is selected
by the City Council from among its members.
Population. There are currently a total of 18,354 households representing
44,833 people. In 2007, projected population should reach 48,000.
Community Services and Facilities. Educational services are provided for
Aliso Viejo residents by the Capistrano Unified School District, Laguna
Beach Unified School District, Saddleback Valley Unified School District, as
well as numerous private school systems. We are also served by SOKA
University and the South Orange County Community College District.
There are also numerous professional service offices in Aliso Viejo
including medical doctors, dentists, optometrists, chiropractors and
podiatrists. Hospitals serving the area include Saddleback Memorial Medical
Center in nearby Laguna Hills, CHOC and Mission Hospital Regional Medical
Center in Mission Viejo, and Hoag Health Center in Aliso Viejo. The
City’s Aliso Viejo Family Resource Center is located at Iglesia Park.
There are currently 23 community/neighborhood parks and 1 additional
undeveloped park site, which will provide a total of 24 upon completion, and
2,600 acres in regional parks. Grand Park, which is centrally located, sits
adjacent to the Aliso Viejo Town Center and includes an outdoor
amphitheater.
Transportation. Aliso Viejo is within minutes of the San Joaquin
Hills Toll Road (State Route 73) and the San Diego Freeway (Interstate 5).
Air cargo and passenger flight services are provided at the John Wayne
Airport, 13.8 miles north of Aliso Viejo, Ontario International
Airport, 50 miles northeast of Aliso Viejo, Los Angeles International
Airport, 51.7 miles northwest of Aliso Viejo, and Long Beach
Municipal Airport, 32.1 miles north of Aliso Viejo.
Commercial and passenger rail services are provided by Union Pacific,
Southern Pacific, Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Co., Metrolink and
Amtrak lines. Trucking services are provided through numerous common and
contract carriers.
Utilities. Utility services are provided to Aliso Viejo residents and
businesses by: Sempra Energy Utilities (San Diego Gas & Electric and The Gas
Company), Southern California Edison (electric), Moulton Niguel Water
District (water), El Toro Water District (water), Southern Pacific Bell
(telecommunications) and Cox Communication (telecommunications).
